We recently held our first Holiday at Home for older people who would not normally get to go on holiday. Held on 3 afternoons 28-30th July, each afternoon began with a simulated plane journey with our own air stewardesses! A great time was had by all. Activities included singalong, Musical enterttainment, quizzes including “Play Your Cards Right” , Crafts, carpet bowls and the afternoon rounded off with afternoon tea. A Pause for Thought spot saw testimony given of God’s enduring love and care. We even had a veteran from the Montecassino battle in Italy which was remembered this year being the 70th anniversary of that event. New friends were made and great fun was had by all.
